Welcome! My name is Janan Allen, and I am the owner, and lead designer here at Mini-Site-Guru.com.

I was born and raised in a small town in Tennessee. Am I a hillbilly? Well that's up for discussion lol

Now on to the part you're probably more interested in...

I have been designing minisites since the birth of their conception around 1997, and have been in graphic design for the past 15 years. I started designing for myself, and as my webistes got more and more attention, I began to design for others, and eventually started doing it full time. And I Love it!

Graphic design is my passion, and I believe that is important to create something truly magnificent. I am creative by nature, and that is something that not all designers can say. Believe it or not, but some designers just copy other designers, or "paint by numbers" if you will, and that is where I stand out from the crowd. Creativity is an absolute must to create something new, fresh, unique, and amazing.

Then there's experience. I've been designing for over 15 years, yes, but I'm also an Internet Marketer myself. I've been marketing online for as long as I've been designing. As I said earlier, I started out designing for myself. My first product was called "Traffic Revealed", and it was a product on how to get more traffic to your websites. I designed the website, product image, order button, etc and it wasn't too shabby. I sold maybe 20 copies the first month or so, but I got more attention for my graphics. I began receiving inquiries asking who designed my graphics and onto if they could hire me.

Being an Internet Marketer myself, I know what it takes to sell a product. I know that graphics play a big part in converting a visitor into a buyer, and I know the aspects of the graphics that do the converting. Now the aspects are no big secret, but of course I won't reveal my techniques to producing high converting graphics. :)

The Minisite Guru

I've been asked several times why I decided to name my business Minisite Guru, and to be honest I didn't. I wish I could take credit for such a creative name, but it was actually a friend of mine who dubbed me "The Minisite Guru", after I did a few sets of minisites for him. After the 3rd or 4th minisite set he wrote me a very nice thank you letter, thanking me for another successful launch, and he said "You're a freakin minisite guru". Thereafter he referred to me as "The Minisite Guru". To make a long story short, it finally hit me, and I anxiously rushed to grab the domain name, well it was taken, so I grabbed the next best thing Mini-Site-Guru.com :) The rest is history.
